Back Again and Feeling Our Roots!

27th July 2010

We left two weeks ago on a tour andĀ  musical/spiritual journey that has left us speechless :)

Heather, Blake and Myself were taken into some of the most wonderful places of natural beauty and inner circles of new friends that we could have ever imagined:)

Many Thanks and Much Love we send out to Darren and Tara and our new family in PA. (We’ve got Friends in Pennsylvania) and to our Sharon & Bubba family in Ithaca for showing us one of THE MOST AMAZING musical times of our lives. LBJ for his wonderfulness and vision and Matty for bringing us and our music to some very cool new venues:) With the love and kindness of all these folks and the great support from ours here in VT. we left this stateĀ  from the beautiful shores of The Lakehouse in Bomoseen and headed straight to the Poconos mountains for three days of great music and new friendships and jams with local musicians. They held a party for a few hundered people that could very well still be going on for all we know! We played till around daybreak and shared sets with some fine local acts.

We spent Sunday afternoon touring through their great mountains on 4 wheelers..it was Blakes FIRST TIME on one! He did great!

We left and headed for Trumansburg to play the Rongovian Embassy to a packed house of our ithaca friends who would be attending the Grassroots fest with us!

We parked our bus FIRST in line at the Back Gate to get INTO a 10,000 person festival on TUESDAY..gates were opening on THURSDAY! The road shuts down and we hosted a TWO DAY party “ON THE BUS” for the other several hundred folks in LINE.

We were shuttled out for Live Radio from Ithaca College on Tues Night. Many Thanks To DJ DArren for a great TWO HOUR show.

We came back to line and played for our peeps. Wednesday night in line is the big night and we played many sets of music right in the street to many hundereds of people.

They in fact wouldnt let people who were staff INSIDE the grounds come OUT to0 see us ..so they had to stand INSIDE the festival and watch US having a raging time in the streets! We played for people dancing in wonderful costumes..beautiful dancing girls, people making art out of light sticks on the pavement spelling out “We Luv The Luv” and other great things, gorillas and fire jugglers would join our circus and we were commended and welcomed by the Grass Roots festival and friends for having such a blowout at the backgate even before the festival had started. We LOVE PLAYING MUSIC to great people who listen and enjoy! So…we played till daybreak:)

I laid down for 2 hours on the bus and was awoken to the maddness which is known as the “Land Rush” for people in RV.s and Tents and TEEPEES to get in place for their FOUR DAYS of AMAZING music!

I am going to leave my tour story right here…cause its just part way done…but…i am just now getting back to reality and HAD TO SHARE a photo and some of our tour story with you..as the week progresses i will be sharing more!

We had our bus in the front row of the infield and had a small village of our own in tents and VW buses and Trucks, Jeeps etc.. We had one of the worlds coolest festivals out our front door!

Just wanted to say how charged the band and i are to PLAY for YOU AGAIN! Also just HAD to say thanks and i LOVE YOU to Heather and Blakey G for spending such a wicked and wondeful time with me! What an honor to know and hang with all of you! Peace & Luv-r.r.
